From the opening shot to the final showdown, ‘The Last Jedi’ proved to be the most emotionally draining of the three films in the saga.
We had a clear understanding that this was a movie that was about overcoming, and at one point even turning on, the dark side, but there were still unanswered questions about Luke’s true parentage, Leia’s loyalty, and the identity of the Emperor.
There were so many things to chew over, but the film ended with a clear message that we would see the last of the Skywalker family, even as we were still waiting to see what happened next.
The next few months were filled with speculation and rumors about the fate of Luke and Leia, and after the first two films in 2017, we knew that ‘The Force Awakens’ and ‘Rogue One’ were on the way, but we were left with the question of what happened to Luke and his sister.
And as the film played out, we could finally see that the answer is more than the mystery we had all been led to believe.
The truth was more complicated, but not as complicated as it seems.
We finally saw that Luke Skywalker, a man who is in desperate need of redemption, had been transformed into a powerful Jedi.
Luke Skywalker is a man whose love for his wife, Princess Leia, had turned him into a dark, powerful force that would have been difficult to resist, and who, by all accounts, had made it all the way to the Death Star.
His journey began in the first movie, and we had a clearer picture of what had happened to him.
It was clear that Luke was no longer the same man he had been before, and, even more importantly, the world was no more.
We were left to wonder whether he had become the Emperor’s apprentice or just a pawn of the dark forces.
In the new movie, it was revealed that Luke’s father had been killed in a duel with Vader in the Death Cloud, but his mother had survived and became one of the few people who knew the true story of her son’s death.
In his final moments, Luke was told by Kylo Ren that he would no longer have to kill the Emperor and that he was to be his new apprentice.
We learned that Luke had grown to love his wife Leia, who had become a Jedi.
We also learned that Kylo had become Darth Vader.
It’s an interesting story arc that leaves a lot of questions unanswered.
How did Luke become the Sith Lord of the First Order?
Who was Darth Vader?
Where did Luke go when the Dark Empire came to power in the film?
We also know that Leia is dead, and that Luke is now Vader’s apprentice.
The answer to these questions is not yet known.
But what we do know is that Luke has become Darth Traya, a powerful figure in the First Empire who is responsible for Luke’s capture and eventual death.
What’s more, Kylo is now known to be one of Traya’s Sith assassins.
If you’re a Star Wars fan, you’ve probably noticed the similarities between Kylo and Darth Vader in recent years.
Like Traya in the original trilogy, Kyla is an ambitious and powerful figure with a dark agenda, and she’s going to get what she wants.
And like Traya and Darth Tray, Kylos dark agenda involves destroying the Jedi Order, which is what has caused so much tension between the two men.
We already knew that Kylos plan involved bringing down the Jedi and forcing the Jedi to accept that they will be killed by Vader.
So, what does that mean for Luke Skywalker?
Will he be able to redeem himself and find the light within?
Or will he be the one to die?
And what happens to Leia and Han Solo?
Is Traya going to continue to rule the First, and if so, will she have her way?
There’s a lot to learn in this new film, and for fans of the Star Wars franchise, the answers to these unanswered questions will surely keep you coming back for more.
